To Register

Download an application form to register with the AOB here (2 page Word doc). Fill it in, sign and return:

1. the signed application form;
2. a legally certified copy of orthoptic degree* signed as a true copy of the original by an authorised person; and
3. a copy of any change of name document eg marriage certificate.

An invoice for payment ($165) by cheque, money order or direct deposit will be mailed to you. (The AOB does not have credit payment facilities. Payment can be made by internet bank transfer or direct deposit to the AOB's bank account at any Commonwealth Bank or Australia Post branch. Account information is on the invoice.)

*Recent graduates of Australian orthoptic degree programs may apply for registration before a degree has been conferred and will be accepted with a certified copy of your academic transcript stating admission to the Degree. A legally certified copy of the applicant's degree is required immediately after conferral and within 12 months of registration. Registration will not be renewed if a copy of the certificate is not provided.
